Ariana Madix Gets Emotional While Volunteering Amid LA Fires

Ariana Madix is keeping herself busy in the face of tragedy. The Vanderpump Rules star has been spending her time volunteering, even as she found her house in a state of emergency.

The Los Angeles wildfires continue raging on. People continue losing their homes, property, and livelihoods in the face of the devastation. And while reality stars certainly aren’t without flaw, it’s genuinely great to see so many use their voices and resources for good. Like Paris Hilton, who raised $500k toward relief efforts.

Or Bethenny Frankel, who partnered her charity, BStrong, with the Global Empowerment Mission to help distribute resources. As for Ariana, while the cameras roll at Something About Her, the reality star is firmly set on spending her time with rescue animals.

Ariana Madix was volunteering in LA at the time of evacuation notice

On January 16, Access Hollywood posted a video where Ariana walked an interviewer through animal rescue volunteer duties. Ariana and the interviewer met a few of the horses and donkeys, and saw the volunteer briefing. While watching the donkeys being walked, Ariana grew emotional.

She explained that the donkeys followed a man on a motorcycle out of the fires, and were rescued as a result. As it turned out, Ariana was already volunteering when she got the evacuation notice. “I came out here to bring carrots to my horse. We had to race home to then get my cat and get everything out.”

Ariana described her volunteer efforts as “the least that we can do” for the animals and their owners. She pointed out that many owners hadn’t seen their animals since the fires broke out. Ariana also commented on the healing nature of volunteer work, especially the work in treating animals. For resources to help those affected by the fires, click here.

Meanwhile, Vanderpump Rules is streaming on Peacock.
