We’re back with the recap for Below Deck Sailing Yacht Season 5, Episode 15. Last time, Chase and Gary’s resentment toward each other continued, while Daisy realized that Gary is not what she wants for her future. After a drag night dinner, Daisy and the deck crew accompanied the guests ashore to a club. But after Daisy, Keith and Gary were caught breaking Captain Glenn’s two-drink rule, Gary lost his temper and snapped at Glenn. Here’s exactly what went down on BDSY Season 5, Episode 15: “Past the Boiling Point.”

What happened in Below Deck Sailing Yacht Season 5, Episode 15?

In this week’s episode, Captain Glenn relents on his threat to take the rule-breakers’ tip money and only charges them a fine. Chase argues with Gary about everything, and Glenn has to step in. Meanwhile, Danni and Chase hit a rough patch in their relationship. Here are some of the highlights from BDSY Season 5, Episode 15.

Glenn revises his punishment for the crew breaking his two-drink rule

Picking up where we left off last week, Gary’s still arguing with Glenn about whether they deserve a penalty for exceeding the two-drink rule.

“You were not forced to drink, Gary,” Glenn responds. “You knew the rules, you broke the f*cking rules, and now you’re here getting upset.”

“I don’t feel good taking 100%,” Glenn finally concedes. “But you knew what the rules were, [and you] went ahead and did it anyway.”

“So, you want us to pay a fine?” Gary asks. Gary, he warned you ahead of time, and you didn’t think you had to follow the rules. Do you think you’re special?

In the end, rather than taking their whole tip, Glenn settles on a fine of €500 each. Everyone agrees, and that’s the end of it.

While Keith apologizes to the captain and admits they let him down, Gary’s still angry. “I don’t even want to look at Glenn, bro,” he whines. You’ve got no one to blame but yourself, Gary.

All told, Keith, Gary and Daisy still got $2,055 dollars apiece. Still a good tip.

Daisy offers to cover Keith’s €500, but he’s willing to take his punishment like a man. He knows he f*cked up, unlike Gary, who’s still pouting. He should be thankful he still has a job, in light of his sexual misconduct allegations.

Chase questions everything Gary asks him to do

Some of the letters on the back of the boat are peeling off, so Gary wants Chase to get into a bosun’s chair, run a rope off the halyard and dangle off the back of the boat to make the repairs.

Rather than just doing as he’s told for once, Chase has to make an argument out of it. He wants to just tie a rope to the guardrail and dangle himself that way. Why does he have to argue about everything?

But when Gary tells Glenn what Chase wants to do, Glenn says, “Let’s go talk to him.” If Chase doesn’t do it the right way and gets injured, the captain could be liable.

“Chase, stop,” Glenn says, when he finds Chase tying a rope to the guardrail. “Gary says put it on a halyard, that’s the end of the story. Put it on a halyard.”

“Copy that,” Chase answers.

But in a confessional, Chase has to whine some more. “Give me some f*cking credit,” he says. “I do my job, [and] I do it fast. I could do Gary’s job blindfolded.”

But then Chase gets upset that Gary went to Glenn. “Gary, say it to me,” he says. “When have you told me to do something, and I f*cking don’t do it?” Every day, dude. You argue about everything.

Chase accuses Gary of throwing him under the bus because he’s “in trouble today.”

Finally, Gary stops even trying to reason with Chase. “Whatever, man,” he says in frustration, walking away. “When you do it again, I’ll just say, ‘You’re doing it, man.’”

Chase is still complaining as he climbs over the side. “F*ck me,” he whines. “What a f*cking pussy.” Nice way to talk about your boss on camera.

Gary realizes he was wrong and goes sober … again

On the crew night out, Gary finally realizes he’s been “an absolute idiot.”

“Tonight I’m gonna take it easy,” he interviews, “because last night I got a bit carried away. When fun gets in the way, I don’t tend to think of the consequences.” Grow up, Gary. Didn’t we already agree that alcohol is not your friend?

It’s the last crew night out before the final charter of the season. Daisy proposes a toast, “Cheers, guys … I couldn’t have done this without you. So, I appreciate it.”

Back on the boat, Keith walks Daisy back to her cabin. He wants a goodnight kiss. But when they get there, they find Gary lying on Daisy’s bunk.

“Daisy and Gary’s relationship is incredibly complex,” Keith interviews. “I think sometimes you need someone new to really, like, wipe that clean … You go, ‘Gosh, … that sucked!’”

The next morning, Gary realizes he owes Glenn an apology. “Sorry for being such a d*ck yesterday,” he says. “I shouldn’t have reacted like I did. I was just frustrated with everything that was going on, and it wasn’t you.”

“If Gary wants to be a captain one day,” Glenn says in his own confessional, “he needs to leave this childish behavior behind him. At this point in his life, he’s gotta grow up.” Didn’t I just say that, Glenn? They hug it out, and all is well again.

Chase rethinks his relationship with Danni due to a lack of trust

Following the crew night out, Danni and Chase went to the master cabin. Danni admitted that she did have sex there with Anthony a couple of weeks before, even though she previously said “nothing happened.”

Chase doesn’t like that she lied to him.

“We’ve known each other two weeks, and we’re about to go to opposite sides of the world,” he tells her the next day. “It seems to me like we’re cool friends.”

Danni feels like he’s just trying to “get rid of” her. She follows him upstairs and asks, “Chase, can we please chat now? On the bow?”

“I’m in the middle of a charter,” he explains. “I literally can’t.” He’s working, honey. Not a good time.

Apparently, Daisy mentioned that last year Chase was involved with Chef Ileisha, and they saw each other after the season ended.

“What made me not worth it in that situation, too?” Danni asks.

“You know what?” Chase asks in frustration. “We dated for a month. But guess what? It all went to sh*t because it was long distance.”

In reality, he’s turned off by the fact that Danni lied to him.

In the meantime, Daisy’s wondering where her other stew is. Diana is setting the table for dinner, while Danni and Chase are arguing.

Daisy sticks her head out the door and yells, “Danni, can you please come and set up dinner? Thank you.”

“Absolute f*cking bullsh*t,” Chase mutters, as Danni walks away to do her actual job.

Below Deck Sailing Yacht airs Mondays at 9/8c on Bravo.
