Christine Brown is happy with how her life looks these days. And she’s not afraid to admit that she’s not interested in keeping in contact with former Sister Wives Meri Brown and Robyn Brown. She feels that her relationship is in the past and she’s more focused on her future.
In fact, the only sister-wife she invited to her wedding to David Woolley was Janelle Brown. She didn’t feel the need to invite Meri and Robyn and thought it would be awkward if they attended.
Christine Brown doesn’t need to develop or maintain a relationship with her former sister wives
In a recent episode of iHeart’s Rogue Energy podcast, both Christine and Janelle discussed their lives after leaving Kody and polygamy behind. Part of that is letting go of ties from the past like her relationships with Meri and Robyn. As far as Christine is concerned, that is firmly in the past.
“I haven’t talked to Meri or Robyn for years, and it’s funny,” she shared. “We’ll just keep it like that. I don’t need to develop a relationship with them.”
She added that one of the benefits of being older is that you can decide who you want in your life. Like how she didn’t feel bad about not inviting Meri and Robyn to the wedding.
“A great thing about being older when you married is that you really only have to invite the people you really want there,” Christine explained. “There’s no obligatory invitations that go out to some Uncle Bob or Uncle Jed, but you’re like, ‘I really don’t want him there. He’s gonna blah, blah, blah. He always this blah, blah, blah.’ We didn’t have to.”
Christine shared that they only invited their closest friends to the special event, confirming she’s not friends with Kody, Meri, or Robyn. And considering how she thinks Robyn organized the split between Meri and Kody, it’s no wonder she doesn’t want to stay friends.
As for Janelle, she also echoed Christine’s sentiments. She recently revealed that had she listened to her mom, she may have avoided all the Kody drama but since moving on, she’s happy they have all gone in their own directions.
