The ongoing dispute about the Coyote Pass property continues to heat up on Sister Wives. And it looks like Meri Brown will now be hiring a lawyer to ensure she gets her fair share when they eventually sell the property.
Meri is taking a page from Janelle’s book. Janelle previously told Christine that she might need to lawyer up so that Kody Brown gives her a fair shake. Now it looks like Meri is doing the same in the ongoing legal dispute for the family’s property in Flagstaff, Arizona.
Meri Brown wants to get her equal share of Coyote Pass, and will have a lawyer help her do it
During a new episode of Sister Wives, Meri talks to Janelle via Zoom. The chat was about hiring a lawyer to help her with the ongoing Coyote Pass dispute. The property, divided into four-plots to house the homes of the family, is currently owned by Meri, Janelle, Kody, and his only remaining wife, Robyn Brown.
“There’s been a lot of confusion surrounding the way things have been done in the family, the way Kody is with me and has been for many years,” Meri shared. She was lamenting the difficulties she has faced with Kody being shady in the past. “So, I think that’s why I’m going to get a lawyer to help me through the process.”
She’s being more proactive now in her approach. “I felt like for quite a few years, I’ve just kind of sat back and not wanted to ruffle feathers,” she admitted. “So I haven’t pushed the issue on many things, but I will push the issue.”
Mari told Janelle that she wanted to get the sale process started as soon as possible. She was worried that without a lawyer, Kody wouldn’t agree.
“So you are talking to somebody too?” Janelle confirmed. Meri nodded in response and Janelle said, “Okay, good.”
“I’m glad it just makes sure it gets done fairly and in a timely manner because I think Kody could just drag his feet if he wanted to,” Janelle said.
The two agreed that it was time and that lawyers are wise as they are no longer family. Now, they’re essentially just people trying to dissolve a business that went bad.
