Amanda Batula and Paige DeSorbo have always been close friends on Summer House.
Following her recent split from Southern Charm star Craig Conover, Amanda solidly has her friend’s back. She’s upset that Craig isn’t defending Paige against rumors that she cheated during their relationship and has already moved on.
“To not clear up any of the cheating rumors is insanity,” Amanda said in a joint interview with her husband Kyle Cooke. “That was still your girlfriend of three years. Like, stand up for her a little bit. [But] he’s been silent.”
Austin Kroll told Andy Cohen that Paige DeSorbo has already “moved on with another guy”
In the interview with Page Six’s Virtual Reali-Tea, Amanda revealed she knew of “multiple conversations” between the couple about the ever-changing status of their relationship. Craig really wanted to move forward with an engagement. He wanted marriage and a family, but Paige wasn’t ready to give up her independence.
When the relationship ended, Amanda described Craig as “shocked … Paige was nothing but kind in her words and Craig was just … he sent the dogs after her.”
During the January 30 episode of Watch What Happens Live, Craig’s Southern Charm castmate Austen Kroll suggested there was more to the story. He told host Andy Cohen that Paige had already “moved on with another guy.”
Asserting that the news had been “substantiated,” he added that Craig knew about it. “He didn’t know for a minute, but yeah,” the Trop Hop founder added. “I think that he’s fully come to terms with that. That’s not a rumor.”
Paige denies there was ever any cheating or that she’s “moved on”
In the comments section of the above WWHL Instagram post, Paige responded, “Ahhh yes a man I haven’t spoken to in 6 months knows exactly what I’m doing.”
Though Paige is denying that she’s moved on, Craig seems to be doing some moving on of his own. He unfollowed his ex on Instagram soon after the split. He’s also reportedly ready to dip his toes back into the dating pool and has already joined celebrity dating app Raya.
“Those girls are so lucky. I can’t wait for them to match with him,” Amanda said, dripping with sarcasm. “Good luck!”
Summer House Season 9 premieres February 12 at 9/8c on Bravo.
