Bravo’s introduction of Captain Jason Chambers in 2022 made yachting all that more sexier. The Australian native starred in two seasons of Below Deck Down Under. He quickly became a small screen heart-throb, not just for his charm and good looks. But also as an admirable leader who motivates his team is always there to support his subordinates.
Jason got flirty with Vanderpump Rules alum Lala Kent at BravoCon 2023. And while nothing lasting came of that encounter, there are many interested Bravolebrities. And fans are curious as to the reality TV star’s dating status currently. It’s a good time to ask, considering that the new season of Below Deck Down Under debuted February 3rd and the dashing captain is back.
Jason Chambers was not always “100 percent” himself in previous relationships
Captain Jason revealed his current relationship status during an exclusive interview with Bravo’s The Daily Dish. The father-of-one is still single, and focusing on his young daughter Saskia.
“I’m still single,” he said. “I don’t think the time has ever been right. I needed to give a lot of time to my daughter over the last few years.”
Jason has some inner work to do, and he explained some patterns of dating that he wants to change in the future.
“The relationships I have had have been long, and they probably shouldn’t have lasted that long,” he explained. “I’m starting to realize why I’ve gone into those relationships. I’m probably trying to create something but not be 100 percent myself. So, I have put a pause on dating for quite some time because I haven’t had the time to bring someone else into my daughter’s [life].”
But the seasoned captain feels confident enough to suggest that 2025 might be the year to start a significant relationship.
“I think 2025 is time to get some stability, find out where I’m going to be based, get my career going, and then it’s right to bring someone else in,” Jason shared. “So yeah, 2025 will be the year that I will get these other things done and then, hopefully, I can meet someone and I’m ready. I wasn’t ready before and I thought I was when I had a child, but then I realized I wasn’t… It was just all about my child. Now I had to put that on pause again, and now I’m getting all this ready to hopefully meet someone for 2025.”
