Austen Kroll’s instincts were spot on in regard to Craig Conover and Paige DeSorbo. Prior to their break up, the Southern Charm star expressed concerns about their lack of cohesive vision for the future. The former Bravolebrity couple seemingly wanted different things, and the Trop Hop Beer founder was not surprised that they broke up.
Amid all that relationship drama, Austen found himself on the outs with his friend. Craig retreated from the former bar-hopping lifestyle of the Southern Charm lads. But Craig and Austen seem to be reconnecting as the latter Bravolebrity supports his friend.

Austen appeared on the January 31 episode of The Chicks in the Office podcast to reveal how he figured out that the former couple had split. It turns out that Craig started reaching out to him to discuss issues he was having with Paige towards the end of their relationship.
“He had said to me along the lines of ‘We just had a talk on the phone for thirty minutes. And she thinks I’m mad at her because she’s super busy. And blah, blah, blah.’ I was like, ‘That is like a normal thing Craig. Thank you for coming to me to say something. ‘Cause you rarely do,’” Austen shared.
Craig and Paige were to spend the majority of the holidays together, with an international getaway to London. But when Austen found out that the trip overseas was canceled, he knew they had broken up. The former couple finally confirmed their separation in the last days of 2024.
“Craig said they had this whole plan for Christmas. And he told me this. Like right after Thanksgiving, he said, ‘She’s going to come down for four days. Then we’re going to Delaware for two days. And then we’re going to Albany for two or three days.’ And then I was like, ‘Okay.’ And then he was like, ‘Then we’re going to London,’” Austen explained. Ultimately, Craig and Paige split over the Thanksgiving holiday.
