Real Housewives of Potomac star Gizelle Bryant is worried for The Grande Dame. Her number one frenemy, Karen Huger, could be facing possible jail time for her DUI. Gizelle has been nothing but supportive of Karen during Season 9. In fact, she never even pushed Karen too hard for information regarding her DUI. However, now that Karen’s sentencing is coming up, Gizelle has decided to share her feelings on the matter.
Gizelle Bryant says Karen Huger going to jail would “break my heart”
The latest season of Potomac started with a dramatic reenactment of the night of Karen’s accident. Gizelle met up with Karen shortly after to get the tea, but The Grande Dame remained mum. While others like Mia Thornton went after Karen regarding her DUI, Gizelle focused on other things. Such as whether or not Karen was using Ozempic.
But Gizelle is staying silent no longer. She dished to US Weekly her opinions on Karen’s possible jail time and if her absence could impact the show.
She said, “It’s sad. It really is sad. I mean, do I want to see her go to jail? Absolutely not. But do I want to see her take accountability? For sure. So, I don’t know. I mean, Karen going to jail, that would break my heart. So we’ll see.”
Gizelle also thought that Karen could have helped her case if she had gone to rehab sooner. She said, “I think she should have done it — gone to rehab — right after the accident. I think it actually would have helped her with her case.” But Gizelle did not think that Karen should have skipped filming this season.
She shared, “No. No. Okay. We need Karen,” she said. “Yeah. Oh, no. We always need Karen. We do need Karen. Karen is too much fun.” Still, if Karen has to go away for a while, Gizelle thinks the cast will be a-okay. She stated, “I mean, she wasn’t at our reunion and we were fine.”
