Tamra Judge admits that marriage isn’t rainbows and sunshine. She and husband, Eddie Judge, have had their fair share of fights over the years but usually they are able to work things out. Only one of their disagreements led her to believe that their relationship was over.
The star of The Real Housewives of Orange County recalled that painful memory on a recent episode of the Amy & T.J. podcast. Tamra shared why she thought this argument was the end of the line in their relationship. And it wasn’t the first time the couple have had to shoot down split rumors.
Tamra Judge shared how husband Eddie left mid-fight
“I think in the very beginning, the first year that we were together,” Tamra said, placing her memory. “It was just so stressful and overwhelming. My ex was riding me hard. It was such a stressful time for us.”
Speaking to Eddie, Tamra recalled, “I remember one time you took off, you just left in the middle of a fight … He wouldn’t pick up his phone, wouldn’t return a text message, and was gone for several hours. I’m like, ‘Well, this is it. This is it.’”
Tamra shared that she was relieved when Eddie returned home and told her that he just needed some time alone.
“He just needs time to vent and I wasn’t used to that,” Tamra continued. “He just needs to go and blow off some steam and then, you know, come back. Then he just acts like everything’s fine, like it never happened.”
Eddie confessed that there were moments when he threatened to walk away. We all know couples have rough patches, whether it’s health scares or feuds with Ryan Boyajian. But Tamra has made him understand that marriages take work.
“In the beginning, when we would big fights, I would say, ‘I’m out. I’m done,” he shared. “And she would always pull me back and teach me, ‘No, this is not how it works. This is marriage, we work through it.’ I had very little tolerance for relationship issues. If something happened, I would just walk away. She’s changed that for me and I see the beauty in that.”
