In a preview of Season 14 Episode 11 of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, Dorit Kemsley spills some tea about her estranged husband PK Kemsley.
Dorit, Erika Jayne, and Bozoma Saint John are in a restaurant when Dorit drops a shocking revelation. “You guys, I spoke to PK,” she says casually, causing both of her friends to practically drop their forks.
“I picked up the phone, and we start talking like we’re friends,” she says. “I’m talking to him, and there is the father of my children. The man that I believed no longer existed.”
Dorit Kemsley wants PK to “slow down” and just “communicate”
“What?!” Erika asks, stunned.
“No, you didn’t,” Boz responds. “This is a lie. I mean, where is my lipstick?” She proceeds to apply lip gloss while Dorit continues with the story.
When Erika seems skeptical, Dorit tries to clarify for her. “I don’t want you to get confused,” Dorit says. “This is not a reconciliation … I asked him, I said, ‘I need you to just slow down a little bit, and let’s just communicate.’ We can’t be at war and the kids be okay.”
“This is about you and not about the kids,” Boz explains. “You’re asking him to slow down ’cause you want to catch your breath.” Dorit nods in agreement.
“You’re absolutely right, but you have to understand something,” the Beverly Beach founder responds. “Catching my breath is about the kids.”
To Dorit’s surprise, the conversation was “a hell of a lot better and different” than she expected.
“It feels like a trick,” Boz says, suspicious of PK’s intentions.
But Dorit disagrees. “No,” she says emphatically. “That I can guarantee you, because he’s not that person.”
“So who is that person?” Erika wants to know.
“That’s PK raging,” says Dorit, adding, “Stop side-eyeing,” when Erika rolls her eyes.
Erika explains her opinion of Dorit’s ex in a confessional. “PK is ruthless. He’s ruthless in business, which means he will be ruthless in the business of divorce,” she says. “I keep yelling from the mountaintops, ‘Hey, you need to take shelter.’ No one is listening to me.”
Erika urges Dorit to “protect” herself from what’s to come
On the previous week’s episode, Dorit shared about an email she’d received from PK, describing it as “a barrage.”
“It was predominantly financials,” she told a production interviewer. “His expectations were within a month or two that I will be responsible for the mortgage and all the bills associated with the house. There was also discussion of custody, lawyers, and threats of, ‘If this doesn’t happen, I will be proceeding with divorce.'” Sounds very controlling and manipulative.
When Erika heard Dorit say she just needed “to be sure I don’t want to go back,” she replied, “He doesn’t want you back.” Trust Erika to bring the brutal truth.
“Dorit … I’m sorry you’re going through this, but I cannot sit here and bullsh*t with you while I know what’s coming for you. I wouldn’t be a good friend,” the XXpen$ive performer said. “You’ve begged for honesty, and I’m gonna give it to you. You have to protect yourself … [You have to say,] ‘This is not my partner, this is not my friend. This is my adversary now.’”
