Things are still difficult between Dorit Kemsley and Paul “PK” Kemsley. The pair continues to navigate their separation and Dorit shared that miscommunication is a key issue to their problems.
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star has shared the difficulties of going through a breakup during the show’s latest season. She realized that her estranged husband’s aggressive communication style had caused a rift between them.
Dorit Kemsley shares that she and PK don’t communicate the same way
Dorit is sad that PK is no longer the same man she knew. During the RHOBH After Show, Dorit talked about a nine-page email PK sent her about finance and custody. It was a very aggressive email and she called it a “barrage” in the show.
She was upset about the email, but PK said after the fact that he didn’t mean any of what he’d written. Still, Dorit feels that the things he said and the way he went about it were okay.
“He’s said that he used a sledgehammer to crack a nut,” Dorit explained. “So essentially, it was empty threats, or you know, he’ll never follow through. But none of it, none of it, is okay,” she stated. “I believe PK is impulsive. He can be hot-tempered. You know, PK has a way of saying things. Like when he would throw around the word separated or divorced so easily.”
Dorit can’t abide by that because when she says something she means it. She told Bozoma Saint John, “Boz if it comes out of my mouth if I say that, you better believe I mean it. It’s really difficult when you’re dealing with somebody that literally, afterward, can say, ‘Oh, you know what? That’s nothing.’”
“He doesn’t understand the severity of words sometimes,” she shared. “And that’s hard.”
Fans have seen the breakdown of Dorit and PK’s relationship in the latest season and it’s gotten progressively worse. Between getting mad at Kyle Richards over her texting PK and admitting that they’re no longer talking reconciliation, Dorit says she’s finally ready to file for divorce if needed.
