A$AP Rocky‘s courtroom video has taken over the internet after the verdict was read in his gun assault trial. When the rapper, whose real name is Rakim Mayers, was found not guilty, the person he ran to was his longtime partner, Rihanna. The emotional moment between the couple has been garnering attention on social media platforms.

A$AP Rocky and Rihanna shared an emotional moment after the verdict was read in his gun assault trial, and the courtroom video is now making rounds on the internet. On Tuesday, the rapper was found not guilty of firing at a former friend in Hollywood after an altercation in 2021. According to The Guardian, a Los Angeles jury acquitted the 36-year-old hip hop artist of two felony counts of assault with a semiautomatic firearm. 

The viral courtroom video showed A$AP Rocky running to Rihanna and sharing a tight embrace after the verdict was read. The singer and businesswoman had been present at the court to support her partner during the three-week trial. Meanwhile, Rihanna, who shares sons RZA and Riot with Rocky, looked visibly emotional during the touching moment. 

Later, Rocky also expressed his gratitude to the jurors while they were leaving the courtroom. He said, “Thank y’all for saving my life,” following the not guilty verdict. The father of two risked a potentially decades-long prison sentence if he had been convicted. Following the end of the trial, A$AP Rocky and Rihanna were all smiles while leaving the courtroom. 

After the musician’s acquittal, Rihanna, shared a note on her Instagram Story to express her gratitude. She wrote, “The glory belongs to God and God alone,” and added, “Thankful, humbled by His mercy.” On the other hand, rapper Nicki Minaj also extended her support for the couple in a recent Instagram Story.

Recently, Rihanna and A$AP Rocky were also feeling the love on Valentine’s Day. The “Diamonds” hitmaker shared a loved-up Paris video on Instagram to celebrate the occasion.
