Margaret Josephs joined Real Housewives of New Jersey in Season 8. Following Season 14, however, the fate of this cast entered unknown territories. The storylines were getting messy and tiring, and the cast was heavily divided. Their inability to film as one, without scratching every eyeball out, became nonexistent, making the tasks of filming and viewing equally difficult to endure.
No one knows what this cast might look like when Season 15 finally rolls around. But the rumor mills think they have an idea. And if this rumor rings true, Marge is a goner from RHONJ.
Allegedly, Teresa Giudice is getting a spinoff. But how this might look is unknown.
Meanwhile, Melissa Gorga and Dolores Catania will reclaim their roles in this series. The rest are toast, states an unknown source.
But take this with a grain of Garden State salt, as after this rumor sounded, another source stepped forward to say NOPE. Bravo has not made any decisions yet, they claimed. Therefore, we should all sit tight and hush. But as we wait, I cannot help but feel that Margaret deserves a seat at the table, either on RHONJ or another Bravo-based series, and will explain why now.
Margaret Josephs never backs down from a fight, no matter who her opponent might be
Margaret calls out messes left and right. And yes, she starts them as well. But these traits are what make her such an iconic reality television star. She is one of the few Real Housewives stars who will go toe to toe with anyone, no matter how duplicitous their other showings have been on Bravo.
During Season 9, Marty Caffrey, the then-husband of Danielle Staub, went swimming in a pool, fully clothed. This is because Marge pushed him in before casually walking away, telling Danielle, “Your husband is in the pool.”
Margaret has also called out the antics of Teresa and her now-husband, Luis Ruelas. But Marge has no fears.
Then we have Jennifer Aydin. Jennifer fights dirty, like Margaret. But again, sticks and stones and words continually fail to break Margaret. Instead of tuning out Jennifer for her accusations, stating that Marge was a gossip, Margaret verbally clapped back, revealing that Bill Aydin once cheated on Jennifer.
Was this dirty? Yes. Was it true? Also yes.
Listen, reality television is not always wholesome. But this is why we tend to tune in. In a world where many shrink their voices in favor of peace, Marge does the opposite, making her built for this genre.
If you like shady gifts and receipts, Margaret Josephs has these for days
During RHONJ Season 14, Teresa called the cast and her lawyer to her house to reveal intel on Margaret. Marge was not invited (obviously), so she sent a gift in her place. When Teresa opened the door and saw a delivery person bearing a massive funeral wreath, we died.
But then, Teresa opened the card, which read, “With deepest sympathy. Sorry for the loss of your dignity. Love, love, love, Margaret.” Teresa refused the delivery, but this shady gift created an iconic moment for this series.
Another time, Dolores and Jackie Goldschneider were trying to make amends at a party. But Marge thought this reconnection needed to be halted, as she found Jackie to be nothing but disingenuous. Cue Marge pulling out a receipt, AKA an old text message from Jackie. Once found, Margaret sent a screenshot of this mess to Dolores from across the room, and Dolores immediately called Jackie out.
As the camera aired, Dolores read this receipt and asked Jackie, “Am I a slob?” Jackie tried to explain her words away, but the damage was done. No one calls Dolores a slob. Yet, Margaret knew to clock in and save this receipt that stated otherwise, as she plays the televised game like a pro.
Margaret Josephs also knows how to make her audiences laugh and cry, sometimes in one fell swoop
Margaret is the type of reality television star who speaks about everything, good and bad. Her openness makes her a genuine watch, especially in Season 14, where she learned Joe Beningo, her husband, had prostate cancer. Marge and Joe tackled this scary storyline rawly, allowing calls from his doctor to air on Bravo.
When her ex-husband, Jan Josephs, passed away, Margaret mourned deeply. But she still chose to air this real-life narrative, as she understands the assignment of being a reality television star.
In Season 11, Margaret opened up about one of her former bosses. Marge was only 22-years-old when she slept with her boss. She made a mistake, she emotionally stated, and she wanted other young girls to avoid similar traps with their careers.
When Margaret is not making us get in our feelings with her words, she is causing us to laugh, sometimes even choke, with her heated quips. “Your lips look like a monkey’s assh*le,” Margaret once shot off at Jennifer. “Prostitutes f*ck men, and you’ve f*cked a lot more married men than I have,” she also expressed to Danielle.
Margaret also called Jackie a “little assh*le,” and yes, we could add many other callouts to this list. But one thing remains clear: Margaret was born to be on screens, either on RHONJ or on another series on Bravo.
Real Housewives of New Jersey is streaming on Peacock.
