Justin Baldoni disclosed Taylor Swift’s involvement in helping him cast Isabela Ferrer in Blake Lively‘s “It Ends With Us.” A resurfaced old interview clip of the film’s director, Baldoni, showed him opening up about the significance of finding the perfect person to play the young Lily Bloom in the movie.
Baldoni went on to talk about how they wanted to cast someone who closely resembled actor Lively. He revealed that they conducted a “TikTok search” and “looked through thousands of women and tapes” for the role. They even met lookalikes with no acting experience.
However, Isabela Ferrer was finally chosen to play the part. The director continued to discuss that selecting Ferrer for the role was the best decision. He said that she looked like the “spitting image” of Blake Lively. The two actors also share a similar mole on their faces, making them look quite alike.
During the interview, Justin Baldoni explained that the movie’s casting director sent him the audition tape of Ferrer. At that moment, the interviewer mentioned Ferrer telling them, “Taylor Swift helped her get the role.” In response, Baldoni revealed that he brought the casting tape of Ferrer to Lively and Swift. He further disclosed that after watching the tape, both of them were immediately on board to cast her in “It Ends With Us” as young Lily Bloom.
