Kelly Bensimon isn’t feeling The Real Housewives of New York reboot, it seems. However, this time, she isn’t asking, “Who’s going to fix this, Santa?!” Instead, she approached Andy Cohen with a solution.
Apparently, the memorable RHONY alum has devised a list of potential new cast members, aiming to help the show’s dismal and dwindling viewership. Ever so humble, Kelly also included herself in that list, of course.

According to Page Six, the former RHONY star has taken it upon herself to suggest a new cast for the struggling franchise, sending a list of potential replacements directly to Andy.
Kelly, a former model who now works as a realtor, appeared on RHONY in Seasons 2, 3, and 4 and most recently on Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip. She thinks a major shake-up is long overdue.
“Everybody says I should be back on Housewives, and I’m happy to do it with. Not to be mean, but, like, not this cast,” she said. “I sent a whole list to Andy. I was like: Here’s the mothership.”
Bravo rebooted RHONY in 2023 with Season 14 with an entirely new cast led by fashion legend, Jenna Lyons, hoping to breathe fresh life into the series. But, ratings took a nosedive. The sixth episode of Season 15 hit a record low of just 281,000 viewers. This is a huge decrease from the original cast’s numbers.
Kelly’s biggest complaint? The show no longer feels like New York City.
“My biggest criticism … is that the ultimate character on the show is New York, and we’re not seeing New York,” she explained.
While Kelly didn’t reveal the names on her list, she made it clear she’s not pushing for former cast members to return. Instead, she’s focused on bringing in fresh faces who actually reflect NYC’s energy.
Kelly isn’t the only former Housewife who’s criticized the reboot. Her mortal enemy – Bethenny Frankel – recently slammed it as a “piece of trash” in a now-deleted TikTok video. She called on Bravo to bring back the stars of RHONY’s golden era like Sonja Morgan, Dorinda Medley, and Luann de Lesseps.
Will Bravo listen to Kelly’s advice and try another cast overhaul, or is RHONY past saving? Will they be able to provide Kelly with the amount of gummy bears she requires to thrive? Only time will tell.
