If Bravo doesn’t want to listen to their fans, maybe they’ll listen to Jon Hamm. Surely the deep voice and striking good looks can help change some minds about the future of The Real Housewives of New York.
During a recent appearance on Watch What Happens Live, the Emmy-award-winning actor asked for what we’ve all been begging for — bring back the original RHONY cast. It’s time.
Jon Hamm wants the OGs
Bravo famously made the short-sighted decision to reboot the iconic franchise from the ground up after Season 13 delivered low ratings and controversial drama. Fast forward to 2025, and Season 15 also had low ratings and controversial drama. At this point, why not just bring back the old group?
When the former Mad Men actor appeared on WWHL, he dished on all things Bravo. When Andy Cohen gave him a 15-second spot to make a case for a former Housewife to return, he said he couldn’t narrow it down to just one.
“It’s a series,” Jon began. “It’s a collection of Housewives — the original New York Housewives. Bring them back!”
If you’re one of those handful of people rooting for the RHONY reboot, you’re in luck. Jon doesn’t want them all fired. He suggested doing a merge of the OG cast with some of those newbies. We’re putting a big emphasis on the word “some.”
“Old school, new school,” Jon continued. “I want to see them co-mingle.”
Although the show’s producers did put out a casting call for Season 16, I’m not placing any bets on seeing any former RHONY stars make a comeback. Andy previously referred to the RHONY edition of Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip as a “series finale” for the original group.
