Olivia Munn shares ‘new normal’ after breast cancer diagnosis
On Tuesday, Olivia Munn attended the 2025 TIME Women of the Year Gala as an honoree, taking the opportunity to talk about her breast cancer journey. The actor revealed to PEOPLE that she feels more positive about her health now, which is thanks to accepting her “new normal” and going “easier” on herself. Moreover, she told the outlet that she is “not pressuring myself to get out and do too many things.”
Cancer treatment is seldom smooth sailing, and Munn also admitted that “there are good days and bad days.” However, at the event, she told the magazine that she was doing quite well on that day. The actor is currently “working through different medications,” stating that fellow cancer patients would agree it takes time to nail down what works best for an individual.
Before her breast cancer diagnosis, Olivia Munn revealed that she always wanted to get things ticked off her to-do list. However, she has now made the list shorter, giving herself grace. She starts the day by listing out “attainable goals.” This way, she can celebrate successfully finishing those instead of feeling bad for failing to achieve the grand ones. Her new approach to life is all about feeling “successful every day no matter how small it is.”
During her 2025 TIME Women of the Year Gala speech as well, Munn proposed a toast to “good health” and “healthy days.” While reminiscing about a day with her loved ones, the actor exclaimed that she was grateful to be healthy enough to enjoy the pure chaos that comes with having two little ones. She ended the speech by wishing everyone good health, hoping everybody gets to experience these little chaotic moments that make them grateful for life.
