Last week on Southern Charm, Shep sent a doozy of a text message to Sienna. But even their shared extreme cringe couldn’t bring Austen and Craig back together. Still, the whole group tried to get through to Shep that Sienna didn’t feel the same way in Southern Charm Season 10, Episode 12: “Lost at Sea.”

Shep was initially insistent that Sienna did love him, swearing he heard it from her “perfect little freckled lips.” But when she didn’t respond, he started to spiral again. Eventually, she said the message was “intense” and that they needed to talk about it.

This week, JT arrives in the Bahamas, but only Venita is thrilled to see him. We finally get to the blowout fight that was teased in the season premiere. As Shep pines for Sienna, Craig calls Paige to try and get through to him. Here’s what else happened on Southern Charm Season 10, Episode 12, “Lost at Sea.”

While Venita and Shep greet JT, the others aren’t happy to see him. Considering he cornered her at Molly’s party, Salley cringes when she has to sit next to him. Craig chivalrously offers to switch seats.

Salley also reassures Shep that he deserves better than the way Sienna treats him. This earns a major eye roll from Taylor. Speaking of Shep and Sienna, Austen accuses Craig of lacking empathy for their friend.

Meanwhile, Shep reads his already infamous text to Molly. She finds it sweet, and even swoons at the “my heart sings with you” line. She tells Shep he’s like a poet. Maybe Molly and Shep are made for each other. Madison certainly thinks so. “Hey ding dong, you’ve got Molly right here who actually likes you. Why wouldn’t you shoot your shot with someone who’s into you?”

JT keeps trying to talk to Salley. His apology doesn’t go over well. She asks, “don’t you think it’s a problem when there’s like four people in here that you need to apologize to?” JT would rather talk one-on-one than bring stuff up at dinner. But that answer doesn’t satisfy people. When they keep pressuring him, he finally says that he doesn’t appreciate Craig’s lie that he called Patricia a b*tch. Madison is adamant Craig wouldn’t lie about that. Producers once again remind us there’s no footage of JT using that word.

Let’s get to the bottom of what JT said

JT asks Shep to back him up. He does, repeating that he never heard JT say that word. Taylor also says she doesn’t believe JT would ever talk about a woman that way. Though she adds he has “other issues.”

With that out of the way, Craig brings up what JT said about the others. There is footage of JT repeating that Austen was dating other girls at the same time as Audrey. Craig also accuses JT of making fun of Madison and Brett for FaceTiming him. JT denies he brought that up to poke fun. Madison asks if he used the word “affair.” From the footage we saw, he didn’t. Shep backs him up on not using “affair.” But he adds that it was “so nonsensical I didn’t know what he was saying.”

Madison admits, “I’m starting to realize that maybe this was blown out of proportion.” As someone on record about finding this storyline frustrating, all I can say is … finally! Madison agrees to talk one-on-one.

Round 3

I guess we can’t have nice things, because that still doesn’t settle it. Craig refuses to walk back his claims and storms off to the bar. He calls Shep a “p*ssy” and claims he only took JT’s side because “he’s so messed up about the Sienna thing he just wants everyone to get along.” Somewhere Sienna is asking, now why am I in it?

Austen comes for JT and insists he kept making things worse. Shep asks why Austen doesn’t talk this way to Craig, which infuriates his friend. Salley asks Shep why he has JT’s back. Shep says he never holds back … unlike Austen. Shep also says that “JT is an easy target” so Austen takes his rage out on him.

Things continue to escalate. Salley refuses to go on the boat if JT’s there. Austen goes too far, calling JT the sh*t on his shoe. JT asks Venita to speak up. After he leaves the table, Venita breaks down to Taylor. “It’s hard to watch your best friend get verbally beat up,” she says, “and you feel like there’s nothing you can do or say in this moment.”

In the sprinter van ride back, Taylor repeats that JT would never call a woman a b*tch. But now, Craig claims that’s not the “crux of the argument.” He also rants about JT refusing to apologize. Pot kettle much, Craig? Meanwhile, Whitney encourages JT to talk with Madison instead of flying home.

What happened with Venita and JT in his hotel room?

After dinner, Venita goes to JT’s hotel room. He requests no cameras. The next morning, she admits she made a move, but he pushed her off because he has a girlfriend. JT laments how hard that was to do, since she’s a beautiful woman and he was just beaten down at dinner. Truly, I wonder how his girlfriend feels about all this.

Shep spirals over Sienna (again)

After dinner, Shep got kicked out of a casino for being too drunk. He passed out in a beach chair. The guys were worried because he didn’t come back to the hotel. Craig says Shep’s bad feelings are entirely Sienna’s fault. I’m not sure that’s true.

Craig calls in Paige as the reinforcement. She tells Shep he needs to let Sienna go if she doesn’t give the same energy back. Paige points out that Sienna doesn’t text Shep back, doesn’t want to sleep in his room, and doesn’t want to hang out. “She does not like you!” Paige emphasizes. Shep tries to push back, but Paige continues, “She wasn’t talking to you before you got there, and she’s not gonna talk to you after you leave.” Paige repeats what her mom used to tell her. “If they liked you, you would know it.”

Shep wonders how Sienna could say she loved him three months ago. Paige responds, “Things change.” I wonder if we’ll get a flashback to this post-Paige and Craig breakup.

Madison and JT meet up

That morning, JT finally apologizes for telling Craig about Madison and Brett’s FaceTime call. Still, he puts most of the responsibility for their fractured friendship on Craig. But Madison is exhausted by the whole thing and agrees to move on. With the main conversation he wanted to have out of the way, JT decides to head back to Charleston.

Welcome to Rose Island

When the group heads out to the boat, Sienna texts she’s running late and will have to miss it. Shep says they can wait, to no response. He stays behind to see if Sienna will respond. She finally does, asking if they can just meet at dinner. When he tries to call her, he gets voicemail. I’m not sure how much more obvious Sienna’s signals can be! Shep does a sad Charlie Brown walk to the boat. When they ask if Sienna broke up with him, he responds, “not exactly.”

Venita asked JT to come on the boat for her sake, but he declined. “Plot twist, JT is with Sienna” Rodrigo jokes. JT thinks getting through to the group would be “mission impossible.” He also decides to leave in case things “escalate” between him and Venita.

The boat docks at Rose Island, which gets its name for the pink sand. As they’re in the water, Austen says that Molly should kiss Shep to see if his tongue tastes like sandpaper. Molly feels like she’s at a middle school dance and wants everyone to back off pressuring her.

Shep tells Madison that Sienna once said he should buy her a house that cost 10 million. Madison asks if Shep wasn’t rich enough for her. He says maybe. He also realizes his wild days put stress on his relationships in the past. And that he’s not exactly the stable guy girls might seek. Madison assures Shep he deserves love, and admits her heart breaks for him a bit.

Southern Charm continues Thursdays at 8/7c on Bravo.
