Welcome to the recap for Summer House Season 9, Episode 4. Last week, Jesse and Lexi continued to stay in the fast lane when Jesse met Lexi’s parents. However, once Lexi used the word “exclusive,” Jesse wanted to pull away. Imrul was introduced to the group, and he was anything but exclusive. Meanwhile, Kyle rage-texted Paige about Craig and Hannah, putting her in an awkward position. Paige was mad as hell and wasn’t going to take it anymore! Here’s exactly what went down in Summer House Season 9, Episode 4: “Pink and Blues.”

The group had a little friendly competition during Lindsay’s gender reveal scavenger hunt, but things quickly turned sour during the dinner afterward. Kyle and Paige faced off over his rage texts, with Kyle feeling like Paige didn’t have his back. And Paige did not want to lose her friendship with Amanda over Kyle’s antics. Jesse also started to realize Lexi might not be so perfect after all but still did not put the brakes on their relationship.

Jesse came into the weekend on a hopeful note. He said, “No beef this weekend, just all vibes.” Wishful thinking!

But before the beef went down, we had fun and games with Lindsay’s gender reveal scavenger hunt. Which everyone thought was pretty awkward with Carl around. Danielle asked, “Is she just trying to rub this in Carl’s face as much as humanly possible? Because this scavenger hunt, even for Lindsay, is over the top.”

Everyone split into two teams: blue vs. pink. Kyle, Imrul, West, and Ciara were team blue, while Amanda, Paige, Lexi, Carl, and Jesse were team pink. Team Blue’s first clue was to figure out where Kyle likes to cry. West immediately knew it was Kyle’s car. Ding, ding, ding! Correct.

Team Pink caught up when they found the clue where the boys liked to go to the bathroom outside. Ew. It was close, but Team Pink scored for the win! Lindsay then revealed she was having a baby girl, aww.

Kyle then pulled Carl aside to talk about Paige. He showed Carl the article about Hannah claiming she was fired from the show for doing an ad with one of his competitors. Kyle told Carl he respected Paige’s “ability to play Switzerland,” but wondered where she stood in all this. Well, he was about to find out.

Lindsay wasn’t done celebrating just yet. She had a special dinner planned, with all food and decor pink-themed. The only person missing was her boyfriend, Turner. Lindsay shared, “Yeah, it’s a little strange. I’ve never dated someone quite so private.” Was this foreshadowing of their troubles to come?

Current troubles were Jesse’s worries about Lexi’s jealousy. He said, “I’m a little rusty at relationships to begin with, and she said she’s a very jealous person. I’m willing to change a little … but I don’t want to change who I am and my character for somebody that I just met.”

Then Jesse and Lexi told the group they had gone out to the club … with her family in tow. Everyone’s jaws hit the floor. But Lexi’s mom is the cool mom, y’all. She and Lexi live, work, and party together. Hey, the family that wears lipliner together stays together.

The conversation then turned to Paige and Kyle’s drama. At least his rage texts were short, and he didn’t send her an 18-page email. Kyle explained he was hurt about why Hannah said she was no longer at the house. He was also mad at how Craig handled getting a gig with one of his competitors. Kyle said, “If he presented it the way he described, that would be one thing. But he’s a f*cking liar.”

Paige didn’t want Kyle’s beef with Craig to affect her relationship with Amanda. She said, “And now you two aren’t going to be friends, and then it’s again me and Amanda there to pick up the pieces.” Then things went to hell in a handbasket when Kyle called Paige “two-faced.” Oop.

The dinner went downhill from here. Paige shouted at Kyle, “Did you just say that I’m being two-faced? How f*cking dare you!” Kyle retorted, “Have your moment.” That was everyone’s cue to leave. The strawberry shortcake would have to be eaten inside.

Paige had gone to her room and was surprised to find Lindsay to be the first one to check on her. I am shipping this friendship! Ciara and Lexi joined, and Paige teared up that she did not want to lose her friendship with Amanda.

She said, “For him to say that I’m like fake is such bulls*t. I’ve worked so hard to make Amanda not feel slighted with my friendship with Hannah and for Hannah to not feel like I don’t have her back too.” Why is all the pressure on Paige to keep the peace?

Meanwhile, Kyle was totally serious and said he was going to cry in his car again and leave. Some things never change. Amanda skipped comforting Kyle and found her way to Paige’s room instead. She reassured her they were not fighting. Besties for life.

At the same time, Lindsay was giving Imrul the lowdown on her relationship with Carl. She joked that afterward, she had a “roster” of people. Now she was talking Imrul’s language. He said, “I have a few entanglements as it is.” Lindsay and Danielle gave him side-eye, but he admitted he was transparent. Danielle noted his red flag had now turned to a shade of “burnt orange.”

The next morning Kyle tried to talk with Amanda. She instructed him to vent to Carl instead. This is what real love looks like.

Over in the kitchen, Danielle spilled the tea that Imrul had brought a girl back to the house. Jesse shrieked, “Here? Stop!” He then admitted it took him six weekends to bring someone home. Lexi was not amused.

Before everyone went to the beach, Amanda and Kyle finally talked. He said, “I’m only human, so like yeah, I know my reactions have been what got me into trouble, but I’m not the one putting stuff out there in the first place.” Amanda noted, cool story bro, but you involved Paige in something she’s not involved with. Still, Kyle wanted to know what Paige believed.

On the way to the beach, the group split up into two cars. Jesse was sans Lexi, so it was the perfect time for him to bring up his concerns to Ciara, Paige, Amanda, and Lindsay. He told them, “I would say my main concern is I’m scared, like she’s a jealous girl.” Ciara found it strange Lexi didn’t want him commenting on their pictures as well. Jesse agreed but wasn’t ready to call it off just yet.

At the beach, several lines were drawn in the sand. Jesse decided to sit next to Ciara instead of Lexi. Oh, boy. And then Kyle pulled Paige aside to chat. Will the two be able to make amends?

Summer House continues Wednesdays at 9/8c on Bravo.
