Emily Simpson and Shane Simpson are one heck of a committed couple. The Real Housewives of Orange County couple show just the right amount of tenderness and hilarity in their relationship. They’ve worked through difficult times. And the RHOC favorite just celebrated her wedding anniversary with a sweet tribute to her husband.
The duo got hitched in 2009, making it 16 years together on Valentine’s Day. Shane and Emily share three children, 10-year-old twins, Luke and Keller, and Annabelle, who is 11 years old. Together with Shane’s two daughters from a previous relationship, they are one happy blended family.
Emily Simpson shared a humorous tribute to Shane
Emily posted a 13-second video to Instagram. She shared three reasons that she’d “never leave” Shane. It was a both sweet and funny tribute to her husband.
“Three reasons I’d never leave my husband: 1. I’d be doing him a favor; and I don’t do favors,” she wrote. “2. He’d have a lot more money without me so I need to keep him motivated. 3. His life would be too peaceful and calm. Living with me teaches him how to handle chaos and insanity.”
The clips included showed some of the couple’s memorable moments, including a boat trip at a tropical vacation destination. Shane was also gifted a box of Krispy Kreme donuts. Another clip had Shane in costume wearing an Iron Man helmet.
“Mr. Calm and Mrs. Chaos. Which one are you?!” Emily captioned the Reel. “Follow me for more marriage advice.”
Emily praised Shane as an “honorable” man
Emily shared a similar message on Valentine’s Day, their exact anniversary day. This one was more poignant, though. The couple were at the beach and shared words of love to each other. The Bravolebrity called Shane “admirable and honorable.”
The RHOC star captioned the post, “16 years ago we married at the Bellagio Hotel in Vegas without a lot of forethought or planning. We didn’t really date first, it was just a giant leap of faith into the unknown. It hasn’t always been roses and rainbows… a lot of it has been hard, emotional, trying, draining and challenging… But we made commitments to each other and we stuck to it. Through the really dark times and through the really amazing times. We remained steadfast in our commitments to each other and our children.”
“Having a front row seat to watch you parenting our children with such care, love, grace and respect touches my heart in ways I can’t even explain,” she continued. “They have no idea how lucky and blessed they are… Ladies, pick a man with honor who will stick by you through it all, pick a man who can make you laugh, pick a man with strong morals and ethics and pick a man who will be an amazing father… I did.”
Hopefully, this puts to rest any divorce rumors in the future.
