The Valley stars Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright are going through a divorce. As all divorced couples know, you have to go through the sad process of divvying up all the possessions you acquired during your marriage. He gets this piece of furniture, while she gets that one. It’s a painful and tedious process.
In Jax and Britt’s case, they have a shared podcast to divide – or at least decide who will continue it, since they obviously can no longer work together. The couple launched their joint podcast When Reality Hits in March 2023.
On March 10, Brittany wrote on her Instagram, “It’s official! I can finally announce that moving forward I’ll be taking over When Reality Hits! Full rebrand coming your way very soooon. I’m just so thankful for all of the love and support.”

Recording inside her car, Brittany reassured her followers that she was parked at a gas station and not driving. Safety first, Britt!
“I’m just so excited because I just finished my shoot to do the whole re-brand for When Reality Hits,” she explained. “So, I’m fully taking it over. I cannot wait for you guys to see this photo shoot … This is going to be so much fun!”
“PodcastOne [producers of the show], I cannot wait,” the Kentucky native continued. “When Reality Hits is going to another level, and I am so ready for this.”
Brittany’s followers were pleased by the news. Valley castmates Zack Wickham and Janet Caperna both posted their respective congratulations, accompanied by clapping emojis.
One poster wrote, “Thank God!! I was tired of skipping the ones Jax did! [eyeroll emoji] And I didn’t get to hear YOU enough! Love you girl!!”
Another fan said, “Get it Britt! Seeing a fellow Kentuckian get out and do big sh*t makes me so happy!!”
A third fan added, “Yes Britt, do the damn thing!”
Sounds like nobody’s gonna miss Jax. Brittany’s way sweeter and more fun anyway. The Valley Season 2 returns to Bravo on May 6, and will be available for streaming on Peacock the following day.
