Season 3 of The Traitors gave Tom Sandoval an unexpected opportunity to rid himself of the stench of Scandoval. However, as he pulled up to the castle, Chrishell Stause started dropping comments about Ariana Madix. From there, she spent the vast majority of her time in the castle fighting a one-sided beef.
If you didn’t know better, you would have thought that Chrishell had worked for Lisa Vanderpump or did a season or two of Vanderpump Rules. According to Tom, she was just trying to ride the “coattails” of Scandoval.

With Season 3 of The Traitors officially over, Tom is in the middle of a tour with Tom Sandoval and the Most Extras. Still, he took a moment out of his busy schedule to speak with Us Weekly, and he dished on what it felt like seeing so many of the players throwing shade at him throughout the season. Was it all because of his tryst with Rachel Leviss? Kinda.
“Initially, I wasn’t as liked as [much as] I was in the later episodes, so there were people leaning into that,” Tom explained.
He continued, “I felt like Chrishell took an opportunity to ride those coattails of the scandal, to get those big Ariana fans and ‘I hate Tom Sandoval’ fans behind her.”
One moment in particular that stood out to Tom was at the roundtable when Chrishell accused him of coming after her because of her friendship with Ariana. Tom said their “friendship” seemed exaggerated.
He explained, “[Chrishell] goes, ‘You’re coming after me because I’m friends with Ariana.’ I’m like, ‘Girl, you took a picture with her six years ago on the red carpet, you follow her on Instagram.’”
Tom continued, “She was also not the only person at the castle that followed Ariana.”
Of course, Chrishell also wasn’t the only person coming for Tom in the castle. Bob Harper called him out on his eating habits. He had Dolores Catania throwing votes at him at every roundtable.
The poor guy couldn’t catch a break, but he did have one person in his corner: Carolyn Wiger. She tried to keep him safe from murder as much as possible, but that could only last for so long. Ultimately, they all ended up going home empty-handed.
