On March 17, Taylor Swift could not attend the 2025 iHeartRadio Music Awards to receive the Tour of the Century award. However, that didn’t stop the global icon from giving a sincere acceptance speech at the award show. The singer-songwriter conveyed her gratefulness to fans and her hardworking teammates via a video clip.
Holding her award, Swift started her video acceptance speech by exclaiming, “This is amazing. Hi. Thank you so much to iHeart and thank you so much mainly to the fans.” She continued, “Tour of the Century, I really can’t tell you how much this means to me,” further saying she accepts the award on behalf of her band, tour mates, fellow performers, and “everyone who toured with us, our crew.”
Swift then went on to reveal, “This is actually the 2-year anniversary of the first show of The Eras Tour. So, I’ve been doing a lot of processing since I’ve been off the road these last few months.” The singer continued, “People often say that sometimes the greatest challenges in life end up being something you’re so proud of or end up being the most gratifying feeling in the end if you can rise to the occasion.”
