Hindsight is 20/20 they say and Paige DeSorbo is seeing things a little more clearly now that she’s looking back at her relationship with Craig Conover. She admitted to feeling a bit “blinded” by her love for the Southern Charm star. So much so that she tended to overlook some of his more concerning behavior.
Her Summer House co-stars Ciara Miller and Amanda Batula had no qualms about sharing things Craig did that they found alarming. Ciara even said Paige had to “be a mother” to him. They were probably not as surprised as fans were when Paige and Craig split over the holidays in 2024.

“I think obviously when you’re in it, you can’t see it the way you see it when you’re out of it or the way your friends see it,” Paige admitted during the Summer House After Show. “I think I loved him so much that I tolerated too much. And now that I’m out of it and look back at things, I’m like ‘Oh, wait …’”
She admitted that looking back on their relationship, she can’t help but have a different perspective now.
“Any time that I had a career milestone, he found a way to make it about him,” Paige shared. “Or any time I had something for me like my friend’s wedding or a family wedding, he would make it about him. And make me have a bad time.”
“It was just embarrassing,” she concluded. “So, that’s something that I look back on now and I’m like, ‘Oh wow, I was really blinded.’ I had to do a lot of damage control.”
She added that when she started having panic attacks during her national tour for her Giggly Squad podcast, Craig said that she might be “working too much.” This, of course, played right into his narrative of her working too hard.
She admitted he often made her feel guilty for working too much to the point she would often hide career milestones from him. She knew that while he wanted to be happy for her, deep down she knew he wouldn’t be.
And as far as damage control goes, looks like that wasn’t confined to their relationship. In the wake of their breakup, Paige faced a lot of the heat including infidelity rumors. She had to elaborate on the breakup timeline and even said Craig was texting “two bitches” during their relationship which he had no problem publicly denying even after refusing to publicly defend her against cheating rumors.
