Sources with direct knowledge of the case told TMZ of Kardashian’s impending involvement in the legal proceedings against the five men accused of robbing her during the 2016 Paris Fashion Week. Later this year, she will reportedly head to Paris and testify in the jury trial after nine long years since the ordeal occurred.
Reports and Kardashian’s account claimed that five masked men broke into her Hôtel de Pourtalès apartment that night. PEOPLE stated it happened shortly before 3:00 a.m. when she returned from a night out with her sisters Kourtney and Kendall Jenner, who did not accompany her. Her bodyguard stayed back with the latter two, and the robbers likely knew of his absence. The SKIMS founder had previously narrated the events to her sisters in a “KUWTK” episode, claiming the men tracked her whereabouts via social media.
One of the accused, Yunice Abbas, is set to stand trial in Kim Kardashian’s Paris Robbery case. In an interview with Vice in 2022, Abbas confirmed learning about the jewels through social media. He narrated the series of events and admitted to robbing the beauty mogul. In addition, he claimed feeling no remorse about their actions “since she was throwing money away,” noting that they were “there to collect it, and that was that.”
Recalling the jewelry heist, Kardashian mentioned that she was only “wearing a bathrobe” and was “naked underneath” when it transpired. “They dragged me out onto the hallway on top of the stairs,” she remembered and claimed it was then she saw the “gun” clearly. The men stole bling worth $10 million.
