While she’s not a Real Housewives of Beverly Hills OG, Dorit Kemsley has been on the show for quite some time now. After joining the cast in Season 7, she has continued to stir online debates amongst fans. Some find her to be sympathetic and kind, whilst others have never forgotten her controversial on-screen antics.
Nevertheless, the Housewife returned for Season 14, and according to her, that wasn’t an easy decision. After all, the season began filming right as it was announced she was separating from husband PK Kemsley. Dorit ultimately chose to stay on, though, and she just revealed which former RHOBH co-star and friend helped her make that choice.
Lisa Rinna convinced Dorit Kemsley to make RHOBH return
Dorit recently explained that it was RHOBH alum Lisa Rinna who gave her the inspiration she needed to come back for Season 14.
“I shared everything with her. And she said to me, ‘Dorit, if you decide you don’t want to do it and you’re done and you’re ready, then walk away and feel good about it. Don’t do it unless you’re a hundred percent in. Because if you do it, you’ve got to do it. Be bold, unapologetic, unafraid, but do it.’ And I took that advice,” she told Interview Magazine.
Speaking of Lisa, Dorit also shared that she believes it’s time for the RHOBH alum to take her own advice and make her return.
“I think she got a little bit of a bad rap, but I know how much she gave and gives and how wonderfully fabulous she is and I’d just love for her to come back.”
Dorit isn’t the only housewife campaigning for Lisa’s homecoming. Real Housewives of Orange County star Tamra Judge also wants the icon to come back to the series. And now that Garcelle Beauvais has announced her departure, there’s an open spot up for grabs.
However, it doesn’t seem like they are going to get their wish. Lisa has made it clear that she has no desire to return to the series. For now, she’s hung up her reality TV coat and is much more focused on taking over the fashion industry.
