Kim Kardashian Nearly Went to Space With Katy Perry on Blue Origin — Report

Kim Kardashian almost became a part of the Blue Origin mission, as she and her mom, Kris Jenner, received an invitation to join Katy Perry and other crew members to fly into space. However, as per an The U.S. Sun insider, the mom-daughter duo declined the opportunity. Besides Perry, the all-female Blue Origin included Lauren Sánchez, Gayle King, Amanda Nguyễn, Aisha Bowe, and Kerianne Flynn. The highly anticipated launch of the flight into space took place on April 14.

Kim Kardashian couldn’t make it to Blue Origin mission because of ‘scheduling conflicts,’ claims ‘source’

A source recently revealed why Kim Kardashian and her mother, Kris Jenner, turned down the invitation to be a part of the Blue Origin mission. According to The U.S. Sun, an insider disclosed that both “The Kardashians” stars had the opportunity to make their first-ever space journey but declined for two reasons.

The individual told the news outlet, “Kris and Kim were offered to go on the Blue Origin. Kris absolutely did not want to go for safety concerns and not wanting to put herself in a risky position being a mom and a grandma.” In the meantime, while talking about the SKIMS co-founder’s reason for turning the invitation down, the insider said, “Kim was more open to it but had scheduling conflicts.” They added, “Maybe in the future, especially seeing how much of a success this flight was.”

Although Kris Jenner didn’t go to space, the media personality showed her heartfelt support to the Blue Origin crew, which was comprised of Katy Perry and Jeff Bezos’ fiancée Lauren Sánchez, from the sidelines. She and her daughter, Khloe Kardashian, were right outside Van Horn, Texas, at the time of the rocket launch. While there, Jenner said in an interview how this was “a really unique experience” and that she was “honored to be here to support them and watch this amazing part of history.”
