Aimee Lou Wood breaks down in public after calling out ‘White Lotus’ SNL skit
Aimee Lou Wood was recently seen tearing up in public shortly after she slammed “SNL” for poking fun at her appearance. Page Six reported the 31-year-old was photographed while stepping out in South London amid the skit drama. She was spotted with her friend and fellow actor, Ralph Davis. The photos showed Wood getting emotional and breaking down in tears. Meanwhile, the “House of the Dragon” actor wrapped his arm around her to comfort her.
At one point, Wood rested her face on Davis’ chest as he consoled her. Later, she even hid her face with her baseball cap while tearing up. The duo was also seen having what appeared to be a serious conversation while walking on the street. While Wood’s sighting came shortly after the “Saturday Night Live” skit, it has not been confirmed if her vulnerable moment was related to the ongoing drama. Nonetheless, her friend, Davis, consoled and hugged her while she poured her heart out.
On Sunday, Wood posted a series of Instagram Stories to slam “Saturday Night Live” for their portrayal of her “The White Lotus” character on the April 12 segment. During the skit, Sarah Sherman played the parodied version of Chelsea. The actor and comedian sported a set of big false teeth, poking fun at Wood’s physical appearance. The British star shared her honest reaction and wrote, “I did find the SNL thing mean and unfunny xo.”
Wood continued to express her disappointment in another Instagram Story. She argued that the comedy show could have done the skit in a “cleverer, more nuanced, less cheap way.”
