I love nothing more than seeing two former foes reunite under the umbrella of friendship. This is the story of Jesse Lally and Kristen Doute. Season 1 of The Valley showed them at one another’s throats. But it seems there was enough ayahuasca in the world to bring these two together. Now, going into Season 1, the duo is presenting a united front, and fans are here for it.
The Valley’s Kristen Doute and Jesse Lally have a surprising friendship in Season 2
Last season, there was a lot of tension between the pair. Kristen was seen as the pot-stirring curmudgeon while Jesse was trying desperately to hold onto his marriage with Michelle Lally. The realtor was cruel to Kristen and often vented his anger in the form of multiple emotional outbursts. But both have turned over a new leaf for Season 2. In the sneak peek, Kristen tells the cameras, “I think everyone should take a page out of Jesse’s book. She added, “He has humbled himself. He has worked on himself. So, I am here to just [claps].”
The scene shows Jesse inviting Kristen over to his home for a sit-down chat. The heart-to-heart couldn’t come at a better time, as both have matured quite a lot over this past summer. Jesse started the conversation by noting, “You were right about everything.” Naturally, he was referring to how Kristen repeatedly called out Michelle for having a boyfriend. Jesse was happy to change his tune, adding, “You were right about almost everything. And I think there was a subconscious level where I kind of knew it. And I think this suppression of what I actually knew led to resentment, which led to anger, which led to hatred. You didn’t deserve to have me project that on you. I take full accountability for it. From the bottom of my heart, I’m sorry.”
The apology spoke volumes to Kristen, who replied, “Thank you. It was just hard … the apology, especially in person, means a lot.”
