However, Life & Style recently learned from an insider that Markle and the Prince might be looking forward to a royal reunion. They reportedly miss the presence of family and their connection to England, as he wishes his children could travel to their homeland safely.
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry ‘regret’ absence of family, ‘source’ claims
A “source” informed Life & Style magazine that Prince Harry continues to “work out the security issues” so his and Meghan Markle’s kids can visit the U.K. “safely.” The insider also noted that the dad of two has previously cited the lack of protection as the primary reason their children don’t travel abroad. “He and Meghan really do want to spend some quality time in his homeland,” claimed the source. The couple retired from their royal duties in 2020 when they moved to California.
There have been obvious tensions between the Duke and Duchess of Sussex and the remainder of the royal family after their relocation and other following events. These include the revelations they made in various interviews, the docuseries, and Harry’s memoir, “Spare.” Nevertheless, despite their differences, the insider maintained that they “regret the absence of family and their connection to England,” albeit they don’t feel the same about the “stuffy pomp and splendor of royal life.”
According to the source, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are “slowly but surely” likely preparing to reunite with the royal family. “The signs are all there,” noted the insider, making it obvious that “Harry misses his family back home” and insisting that “Meghan has softened toward them” despite their differences. The publication further suggested that the recent change of heart possibly came amid King Charles’ ongoing cancer battle.
In addition, the insider said that Markle and Harry want their kids, Lilibet and Archie, to spend time with the king and connect with their cousins, Prince William and Kate Middleton’s children. Speaking of the royal family, the source later added that Middleton is “up for a reunion, but William is the holdout,” largely owing to his “trust issues with Harry” as “he still questions his motives.” Queen consort Camilla is also unconvinced.
