Blake Lively’s return to the spotlight might be picking up pace as she prepares to make her first talk show appearance on Seth Meyers’ show since the Justin Baldoni lawsuit. Lively has been making a comeback slowly and steadily after her month-long hiatus from the public eye.
This is in view of the controversy surrounding her legal drama with Baldoni, which began in December after she openly accused him of sexual harassment. The “It Ends With Us” co-stars have since been embroiled in a highly publicized court case.
Amid all the scrutiny, Lively’s recent outing demonstrated her attempts to regain footing in old social circles. She attended the TIME 100 Gala alongside her husband, Ryan Reynolds, in one of their rare red carpet appearances. Lively will take on NBC’s “Late Night With Seth Meyers” as the show just revealed the episode date.
Blake Lively to appear on ‘Late Night With Seth Meyers’ soon
Seth Meyers’ NBC late-night talk show announced that Blake Lively will soon make an appearance with them, her first since she filed the sexual harassment lawsuit against Justin Baldoni. The network’s official website for the show listed the date of her segment as May 1, with comedian Zarna Garg as their second guest for the night. Meyers’ show itself went on a two-week hiatus and announced the guests who will grace their set this coming week.
In the past couple of months, the “Gossip Girl” alum and her husband, Ryan Reynolds, have remained notably absent from key events, including the Super Bowl. Her absence from the NFL’s biggest night of the year also sparked discussions about her longtime friendship with Taylor Swift, weathering a storm after Baldoni’s countersuit implicated the singer in their ongoing battle.
Despite remaining out of the public eye, Blake Lively has made red carpet appearances with Reynolds once or twice and stepped up her game with her forthcoming talk show appearance. On Thursday, the couple also attended the TIME 100 Gala, which didn’t sit well with journalist Megyn Kelly, who thrashed Lively publicly, criticizing her for attending the event. “She shouldn’t be here,” Kelly told the Daily Mail in her harsh rant.
