Almost a decade ago, Kim Kardashian was robbed at gunpoint in her Paris hotel room. In October 2016, the “grandpa robbers” pulled off the biggest robbery in France in over 20 years.
When the robbery hit front pages all over the world, we found out how rich Kimmie actually is. The robbers made off with millions of dollars of her jewelry.
Now nearly a decade later, the alleged robbers are finally coming to court, and Kim K is testifying against them.
Did Kim Kardashian get her jewelry back?

Kim Kardashian only got her diamond-encrusted cross back, which was dropped by the thieves while they were leaving and recovered by police.
Wearing only a bathrobe, Kim was held at gunpoint in a bathtub, per Sky News. At first she thought the intruders were taking her hostage. “I thought I was going to die,” she later told police officers.
According to the police, the robbers escaped with Kim’s entire jewelry collection, which she’d brought to Paris Fashion Week. Estimated at $10 million, the haul included Kim’s $4 million nearly 19-carat diamond engagement ring from Kanye West.
Additionally, the thieves took her large Louis Vuitton jewelry box, which she said contained “everything I owned.”
Police believe the thieves melted down the gold in the jewelry and resold it. As for the diamond engagement ring, it was too recognizable to sell on the open market. It might have been sold privately or the diamond cut into smaller diamonds, as it was never recovered.
On April 28, the hearing begins at the Court of Appeal of Paris. The trial is scheduled to last a month. A judge will preside, assisted by two professional assessors and six jurors. There are more than 2,000 documents in evidence, and four civil parties are expected to testify.
The thieves, dubbed the “grandpa robbers,” were all between the ages of 60 and 72 at the time of the robbery. They face charges of robbery and kidnapping. If found guilty, the robbers could face 10 years to life imprisonment.
As Kim is a trainee lawyer, she should be comfortable in the courtroom. In recent years, she has become a high-profile criminal justice advocate in the U.S.
The Kardashians is currently streaming on Hulu. The show streams on Disney+ in the UK.
