Chester Marlon Hanks, known as Chet Hanks, is an American actor and musician, born on August 4, 1990. As the son of acclaimed actors Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson, Chet was born into Hollywood royalty. Despite his privileged upbringing, his path in the entertainment industry has been uniquely his own. Chet’s early life was marked by a struggle with substance abuse, leading his parents to send him to a wilderness therapy program for troubled teens. He later attended the Oakley School in Utah, where he played lacrosse before studying theater at Northwestern University, joining the Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity. Chet’s acting career began with his role as Dexter in the 2007 film “Bratz.” He subsequently landed small roles in various films throughout the early 2010s.
