Chef Zach Laidlaw, a distinguished culinary artist from Maui’s Hua Momona Farms, is set to compete in the upcoming season of FOX’s “Next Level Chef,” hosted by the renowned Celebrity Chef Gordon Ramsay. Competing against 24 other culinary talents, the show will premiere on January 28, right after the NFC Championship, and be available on Hulu the following day. Born in February 1989 in Burlington, Illinois, Zach Laidlaw embarked on his culinary journey at the age of 13 as a dishwasher. By 16, he had transitioned to cooking, discovering his passion and creativity for the culinary arts. He pursued formal education in Culinary Arts and Hospitality Restaurant Management at Elgin Community College, which paved the way for his impressive career. Laidlaw’s culinary path took him from Chicago to South Beach Miami, the British Virgin Islands, and Australia, eventually leading him to Maui. In Maui, he served as Chef de Cuisine at Fleetwood’s on Front St., a prominent Lahaina restaurant owned by Mick Fleetwood.
