When Season 10 started out NeNe Leakes was on the warpath against Porsha Williams. It was completely understandable given all of the gossip that Porsha spread around during Season 9. Nevertheless, they worked through that and they’re back to being close friends.
If anyone can use a close friends these days, it’s NeNe. Her husband Gregg Leakes is struggling with Stage 3 cancer and it’s taking its toll on her.
Porsha opened up about the Season 11 premiere episode in a Bravo blog post. Truthfully there wasn’t much to comment on other than Porsha’s new relationship with Dennis McKinley and Gregg’s cancer battle. Other than that, it was basically an introductory episode before Season 11 really starts.
Porsha wrote, “All is good in my world! I finally have myself a ‘unicorn’ man (I said I would, didn’t I?) and my ‘big sister’ NeNe and I are back and better than ever!” The previews show that some of the ladies are suspicious of Dennis. It will be interesting to see how this relationship progresses to the point they are at right now. They are engaged and are expecting a baby. Spoiler alert: they are still together.

Porsha explained why it was easy for her to revisit her friendship with NeNe: “It’s easy to put insignificant, silly stuff behind you when life shows you what is truly important. I am so glad that I can be there for her when she needs me, whether it’s to lean on me or to just be silly together so she can forget her worries.” Of course Porsha is alluding to NeNe caring for Gregg while he battles cancer.
Even though NeNe is trying her best to stay strong, Porsha sees through that front. Porsha admits, “I know NeNe so well…she is a tough cookie and she’s putting on a brave face, being strong for Gregg.”
Porsha continued, “I want to make sure she’s taking care of herself, too. I have faith that God will keep her strong. Their family is always in my prayers. They are each other’s everything and their relationship is something that I admire so much. I hope Dennis and I can always be as strong together as NeNe and Gregg are.”
